What is KeryFlex nail restoration?

KeryFlex is a cosmetic nail restoration system used to create a flexible, natural looking nail over part of a damaged toenail. It can improve appearance while the natural nail grows. It does not cure toenail fungus or replace treatment of the underlying condition.

Who may benefit

KeryFlex may be considered for a nail affected by:

• Fungal damage that is being managed
• Prior injury
• Partial nail loss
• An irregular or discolored nail
• A desire for temporary cosmetic improvement

What to expect

The damaged nail is evaluated and prepared. A medical grade resin is shaped over the remaining nail and cured in the office.

• The nail is cleaned and reduced as needed
• The resin is layered and shaped
• Color and thickness are adjusted for a natural appearance
• Care instructions and replacement timing are reviewed

Important considerations

• The restoration is temporary
• It may need periodic maintenance
• It should not be applied over an active open wound or certain infections
• The natural nail continues to grow underneath

KeryFlex is an appearance service. Any fungus, injury, or skin problem still needs its own treatment plan.
