Saving Limbs. Restoring Mobility. Improving Lives.
Our Limb Salvage Program brings together podiatric expertise and advanced vascular care to provide coordinated, outcome-driven care focused on preventing amputation and preserving independence.
What is Limb Salvage?
Limb salvage is the medical and surgical effort to prevent major amputation in patients at risk due to diabetes, poor circulation, chronic wounds, or infection. Instead of living with life-altering amputation, patients can receive advanced interventions to restore blood flow, heal wounds, and keep them active.
Podiatry (“toe”) & Vascular (“flow”) Specialists work together to treat wounds and restore blood flow
Coordinated Podiatry–Vascular treatment can reduce the need for major amputations by up to 85%*
Skip the long wait. Get fast access to the Podiatric or Vascular Specialists for the care you need.
Our podiatric surgeons are often the first line of defense. We identify circulation issues early, manage wounds, infections, and bone problems, and guide patients into the right treatment pathway before problems become limb-threatening.
Research shows that coordinated podiatry–vascular programs can reduce the need for major amputations by up to 85%*. By combining podiatric expertise with advanced vascular procedures, we give patients the best chance of keeping their legs.
Patients may choose evaluation and treatment from the vascular provider of their preference. For those who select care with Dr. Rishi Panchal, consultations are available right inside our Boynton Beach office.
Many vascular procedures can be performed locally. For more complex interventions, patients receiving care with Dr. Panchal may be treated at his Royal Palm Beach office, with ongoing communication between his team and our podiatric surgeons.
Signature Foot & Ankle
IVY Cardiovascular & Vein Center
A podiatric surgeon performs a thorough assessment of wounds, circulation risks, infection status, and overall foot health and can provide relevant treatments such as:
If circulation problems are suspected, patients may choose to receive an evaluation and treatment by a vascular specialist using special imaging and procedures. At this point, Podiatric and Vascular Specialists will coordinate care – managing wounds, improving blood flow, and addressing underlying risks.
To continue driving successful outcomes, there are numerous options available to maximize healing and prevent recurrence.
If you or a loved one has diabetes, poor circulation, or a non-healing wound, don’t wait. Early intervention can make the difference between healing and amputation.
The Limb Salvage Program at Signature Foot & Ankle is a collaborative initiative between our podiatric surgeons and Dr. Rishi Panchal, Owner & Founder of IVY Cardiovascular & Vein Center, who practices independently while subletting space at our Boynton Beach office. Each provider operates independently and bills separately under their own NPI. Patients are free to seek vascular care with any qualified provider of their choice. Some advanced vascular procedures are performed at IVY Cardiovascular & Vein Center’s Royal Palm Beach location.
